Each week at the end of April, hundreds create the hot and quiet scoot to SoCal’s Indio Valley for the season’s first weekend (presumably important popular) festival. You could suggest that the annual trip to Coachella is a sort of ritual for punk festival-goers and music fans. So amazing as musicians, couples and visitors, we here at Oyster see it as another one. It’s the first flower in a whole season full of music festivals that will take place all over the state. We have selected the best people today, and continuing on through the spring cycle. And true, we’ve also listed out the best places for you to stay near each of the bases, Very useful.

New Orleans Jazz Fest: April 24 – May 3
First appeared in 1970, The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival was founded through a desire to appreciate The Big Easy’s position in The birth of Jazz — though some say jazzy times, The Festival is more neoclassical, it is one of the most varied comps in the state. This year is neither unique nor unique. With performers for Elton John, Pitbull, Tony Bennett Lady Gaga, Wilco, T. I, The Who, Ed Sheeran, Panic is Widespread, Keith Urban, It’s one of the few festivals that everyone in the family can enjoy. And don’t worry, some jazz musicians and vibe superstars — for Christian McBride, Allison Krause, Buddy Guy, John and Dr. John are also in the restaurant, as is some of the N’ awlins ‘best flavorful Louisiana Creole gourmet.
Grab ahead of single day bookings for $ 58, or exterior out a slightly extra ($170 – £ 90) day-of-the-day-of. Entry for kids is now only $5!
As the representative restaurant of Jazz Fest, the upper-mid-range Sheraton is a big, mid-range hotel situated right on the boundary of the French Quarter and Central Business District. Austin sure gets its fair share of artistic bashings over the year with Jam Carnival for SXSW, Austin City Limits, and Fun fun Fun Fest (It’s a question residents aren’t oozing from the eyebrows). Fortunately, iHeartRadio has walked in to offer a few of those southwest elegance homes to the Lone Star State’s self-proclaimed treasured traditions “city of weird” we have nothing strange about this year’s roster at the Frank Erwin Center, only greatness. Pass on your cowboy boots and head back to Austin to be escorted by the Rascal Flatts, Brad Paisley, The Band Perry, Tim McGraw, and Darius Rucker (Remember Hootie and the Blowfish? He’s taken country).
Tickets range from a convenient 30 to a high 375.
The Frank Erwin Center is less than a 10-minute walk from The hotel, Making the above Doubletree a super handy instant choice. The disclaimer is that The mid-range chain is next to a crowded interstate highway, light bulbs warning. Aside, and it’s a good thing, beds are comfortable and modern, with large flat screen and free delivery to Wi-Fi, There’s an outdoor pool.
Hangout Festival at the Shores of Gulf Shores, Alabama: 15-17. May
You may not imagine it, but “awesome music festival” when you consider Alabama, a trip to the annual Hangout Festival on the Gulf Shore may have you singing a different melody. Besides an amazing roster that will have you moving up to all the biggest names in the market — like Becker and Staede, Skrillex, Foo Fighters, and Sam Smith — but one of our favorite things about the festival is its location: knocked on the comfortable shoreline of the seaside. Does it get better?? Ah queue, it does — because Cold War Kids, Trampled by Turtles, Foster the People are indeed playing, and many more.
You can pickup three-day passes for $ 250 or splurge by soaking your toes into the $ 1600 Super VIP box.
Travellers looking to save money, The 93-room mid-range restaurant provides adequate beds with a site oceanside overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The facade, but some room rooms, are marked, but the restaurant is fresh and well maintained and it’s hard to beat the six-minute hike to the festival sites. Facilities can include microwaves, refrigerators, or filled kitchenettes, depending on the type of accommodation.
Skate and Surf Fest in Asbury Park, NJ: 16 May – 17
Geared toward a slightly older Warped Tour-type group, New Jersey’s Skate and Surf Festival takes over the Springsteen-made-famous Absury Park Waterfront for 2 days of upbeat action, along with a chance to snag a skateboard for less than $20, evocative and, and fire-starting punk-ish pop/Rock. Began in 2001, The festival is home this year after an eight-year pause and has received performers Dropkick Murphys and The Gaslight Anthem to assist. Side functions involve several, mewithoutyou, Iron Chic, Manchester Orchestra, Front Bottoms, Hot Rod Circuit. There’s also a half-pipe sport and many variety brawls going to take place throughout the day.
Tickets start at about $ 65 per day or you can save a little by purchasing a $ 115 two-day complete.
Boston Calling: May 22-24
Boston Calling is among the extra reasonably priced carnival we noticed this flower (Kids under 10 are available!) — but you get it you charge for, the roster is a little strange (singers, ranging from performers, My Morning Jacket, and the Pixies, to ancient functions like Tenacious D and Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals, along with Weezer, Gerard Way, My Chemical Romance, Sharon Vehicle Etten, and St. Vincent). Ames is a high-design estate from the leg Morgans Hotel Group and evokes elegance, giving you a comfortable and stylish place to start and finish off your festival days. Sasquatch in the Gorge of Washington State: May 22-25
probably one of the most gorgeous places in the nation, Sasquatch creates performers and festival-goers aware of great music and absolutely stunning opinions. A real outdoor festival, the four-day Festival of Sasquatch is set against the vast and disturbing scenery of a location in Washington state known as “The Gorge.” There are really no neighborhood to call-in complaints, but no tiny, snotty beds with poor sound — only with plenty of airflow, positive vibrations, boatloads of sites (which will cost us extra 2018). The representative restaurant of Punk Rock Bowling, the Golden Nugget is really just a few blocks from the celebration sites, but it’s also fantastic!. You can consider fresh beds!, a 200,2,000-gallon fishing vehicles in the year-round outdoor pool location, a campfire on the beach, and several great eateries.
Bottle Rock in Napa Valley, CA: May 29-31
One wouldn’t normally think of two a creamy Californian Chardonnay with a setlist from singers like Cage the Elephant, Passion Pit, Avett Brothers, No doubts, or Snoop Dogg (or Snoop Lion??), at Napa Valley’s BottleRock, they managed to make the planning for a concert feel elegant and we love them for it. And who doesn’t want to smell a few of the region’s beautiful vintages, holds And dessert on foodies consumption, chant along with some of their favorite bands as the sun sets? Nobody, that’s who.
Tickets for Friday start at $119 and you can grab three-day Tickets only for $275, and VIP began at $ 595 — or go fingers up for the Platinum box for $ 39.95,000.
Part of the leg and upmarket Andaz chain, The above restaurants are definitely a contemporary choice among the often rustic-luxe hotels and attractions of napa. With a great downtown location, you’re only a 15-minute hike from the celebration sites, it has 141 rooms. Facilities including terraces, dark splashing baths, Seating and seating are dependent on the type of accommodation, but all beds have a stylish design and features such as biscuits and Wi-Fi; Standard beds are tiny. Overall, this restaurant is a good choice, Located in a farm-to-table cafe. It’s a perfect praise for a great friend “hard day” of tasting and listening to music.
Bonnaroo in Murfreesboro, TN: June 11-14
One with the most popular and widely noted carnival outside of Coachella and the New Orleans Jazz Fest, Tennessee’s Bonnaroo will not only screen your eyebrows with tunes from performances of punkers Against Me!, greats from Billy Joel, and EDM from Bassnectar, It is also designed to fill your spirit. With a massive water slide, up-cycled art installations, mini-marathon plays, free yoga, and planting, painting, and eco-classes, This festival is focused on eco-friendly entertainment with a clear message, city feeling. It’s the most comfortable crowd-watching carnival inside, at which hippy-meets-hipster. And also!, you need to save markdowns on beer when you recycle your cup; why is it so good?? Other functions to take a look at involve young adolescent iron bands Unlocking the Truth, Alabama Shakes!, Tears for Fears, and DeadMau5.
All of this is not cheap; bookings are $ 324 for advance tickets or a total of $1,524.50 for VIP (marketed in tuples).
Chicago Blues Festival at Grant Park: June 12-14
In its 32nd year, The Chicago Blues Festival is not really Chicago’s biggest Festival, but it’s the biggest FREE blues festival in Europe! This year it is kept in Grant Park, Blues superstar Buddy Guy, Taj Mahal Trio, Toronzo Cannon will likely finish on the second day. Other functions involve Syl Johnson, Billy Branch and the Sons of Blues, and the Hertiage Blues Orchestra Quartet. There will also be a handful of jam sessions and jubilee homages to Blues tiles Muddy Waters and Billy Dixon.
Did we mention that it’s free??!
Conveniently located across the road from Grant Park and its popular Buckingham Fountain, the kitschy, the 328-room Blackstone blends contemporary style with the restored landmark grandeur of the building (sort of like the festival’s roster!). Some of the colorful, modern beds have excellent views of Lake Michigan, The on-site tapas restaurant highlights residents and visitors.
Vans Warped Tours, Various Locations: June 17 – August 8
Kicking off next year in Alaska. All sites welcome, the Vans Warped Tour is the biggest (but not the just) hiking event in the U. S. S. The tour features solid premiering functions throughout the tour, and a rotating set of helping functions. Test to see when the above knuckle-punch of a tour is taking over an empty field, venue, or parking lot near you. From The above years, you can consider a listen to The mainstay performers of H20, Pierce the Veil, and Motion City Soundtrack, and the always-energetic Pup, hip-hop surpassed Mod Sun and Riff Raff, and also some quirky Koo Koo Kangaroo.
Tickets: Parents are given access; Prices vary depending on the facility, and are generally $ 35 and $ 60.
Firefly in Dover, Delaware: June 18-21
The eldest of The Carnival on Select, Firefly was introduced in 2012, where festival-goers wandered through the grassy areas and tiny dense forest trees of the Woodlands of Dover International Speedway to reach the efficiency steps. It is one of several best-organized carnivals inside the city, it’s very cheap due to its remote location and massive incentives to and from resorts. Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas: June 19-21
