go to Angel Island or Alcatraz for a day? Plan an all-day walk around Fisherman’s Wharf and the Embarcadero? Take a picnic in the foodie dreamland of the Ferry Building. Here’s how:
Start at Acme Bread Company, the legends of organic cake started in Berkeley. The masterpiece pastries will take you as close to Paris as it can be to The West Coast of The United States. For a nicer San Francisco enjoy!, pickle a tile of oil margaret bread. Keep your money with you – Acme does not accept credit cards.
For anything to expand on your bread, end at the Cowgirl Creamery’s Artisan Cheese Shop. Marin cheesemongers use The yoghurt of The joyful California goats to develop their delicious, beautiful and delicious butters. The shop also provides artisan curries from across The international borders, with a particular focus on curries from the terroir of Europe.
If it’s Tuesday or Saturday, what is it, You won’t be ready to forget the Ferry Plaza Farmer’s Market happening all around you. Pick up some great fruits and vegetables — clean chopped fruit filled with blue cheese smells like the feet of the Divine.
Give your picnic a fruity complete at the Ferry Building Wine Merchant. Pick up a style from Napa or Sonoma and round out a totally Californian dinner.
It’s easy to reach the Ferry Building on foot from the Financial District, particularly if you’re staying at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco, Le Meridien, or the Mandarin Oriental.
