we spent a lot of time in California dreaming about one link or another — and who would stop blaming us for it?? The situation is kind of everything, incl. Gorgeous landscapes, sun, and miles upon miles of lovely shoreline. We particularly like the idea of snuggling in one of the state’s coastal inns. To us!, a trip that includes whale watching, Walking through sturdy canyons in smoky times, discover quaint areas, and soothing in a rustic, luxe house with a glass of wine sounds like paradise. At many of these eight places, it is possible to do the same.

Sea Rock Inn, Mendocino
